Alex Mathers joins us to discuss his new book: Building Firm. Financial Independence with the Right Mindset. We had a great discussion about financial education, how to build wealth and some of the lessons each of us learned about money as we grew up. We discuss and share examples of the relationship between money, time, and happiness. Alex is an engineer by trade, and he brings many building and construction analogies to graphically show how money is earned, money is made, and money can go down the drain. We also discuss his 3-year process of writing the book, working with freelance editors, and ultimately self-publishing his book using resources available on Amazon. We also sneak in a few Poway restaurant reviews.
